RAM News Q1 2008
RAM-Mount finished the purchase of an additional 18,000 sq. foot building for new offices, Vibe & Shock testing lab, Clean Room for electronic assembly & expanded warehouse capabilities. We also starting construction of a 12,000 sq. foot building to expand manufacturing capability. The new 13,000 sq. foot Powder Coat facility is completed and will go on-line next month, and we'll be able to get goods to customers faster and at a cost savings. We installed two additional high capacity rubber injection molding machines to provide faster service and lower costs to our customers. NPI now has more than 135 patents that are pending and we have received a patent for our Tough Dock laptop tray. NPI informed Gamber Johnson of false advertising with regards to "The Mounting Evidence" and filed legal action (read complaint). We also introduced a docking Station for the new Getac B300 Rugged Laptop, a dock for the Getac E100 Tablet, and a dock for the Glacier Ridgeline Tablet. -- Posted Friday, April 18, 2008 by chb
RAM Mount updates
The new RAM Mount powder coating building will be completed within the next few weeks. This will help us improve delivery times and reduce costs to our customers. We acquired another prototype machine that will allow us to produce cast metal parts the same day they are designed in the CAD system. We have a new line of RAM Plastic Marine Mounts. Our new co-injection machine is now fully operational and is producing many new parts without having operator intervention. Located in Seattle Washington, NPI distributes products around the globe. Providing some of the most innovative and durable products available, NPI has rapidly become an industry leader and continues to gain respect from both electronics manufacturers and those needing the finest tools for marine use. Having an in-house design staff and rapid prototyping abilities, NPI is able to quickly engineer and produce quality items for the ever changing electronics market. With rubber injection, sand casting, metal fabrication, and composite injection molding as well as a die casting facility within one half mile of each other, coordinating and developing new products is trouble-free.
